3-way signal at Randall

The Department of Parking and Traffic agreed with us that the signal at Randall and San Jose could be safer. It now has separate phases for eastbound and westbound traffic.

Safer for drivers

The change means that cars on Randall no longer have to stare each other down in order to know when it is safe to turn left, making the turns safer for drivers.

Safer for pedestrians

The change also means that drivers can pay more attention to pedestrians crossing San Jose--including school children crossing to and from Fairmount Elementary, and people trying to get to and from MUNI.
